Priyamani Won the prestigious National Film Award, for Best Actress (2006) for her role in Tamil movie Paruthiveeran. She also won Tamilnadu govt. Award for the best actress for the same movie. The Film was a huge hit commercially. It has completed a 300 days run in Dec 2007.
